The G-Tech 3125A Digital Insulation Tester is a professional handheld instrument designed to measure insulation resistance of electrical equipment and wiring insulation at high voltages. It’s widely used in maintenance, installation checks, commissioning, and troubleshooting of motors, cables, transformers, switchgear and other electrical systems where insulation integrity is critical.

🔌 Core Functionality

• I0nsulation Resistance Testing: Applies a controlled high test voltage and measures the insulation resistance in megohms (MΩ) up to very high values, helping evaluate if insulation is degrading or unsafe.

• High Test Voltages: Supports multiple selectable test voltages — typically 500 V, 1000 V, 2500 V and 5000 V, allowing tests of various equipment types.

• Polarization Index (PI) & DAR Functions: Calculates Polarization Index (PI) and Dielectric Absorption Ratio (DAR), which are useful diagnostics for assessing insulation condition over time and detecting moisture or deterioration.

• Timer Measurement: Built-in timer allows setting test durations from seconds up to around 60 minutes to follow standard test procedures and log time-based resistance changes.
